With this system, the Acoustimass module connects directly to the speaker outputs on a receiver and then the cube speakers connect to the back of the Acoustimass. It serves as a crossover for the cube speakers. Here are the specs for compatibility with a non-Bose receiver: 10-100 W per channel, 4-8 ohms.
