Yes. I’ve used older silver companion II’s for years plugged into the analog out of my tv. Now with a new tv having a headphone jack I used a 1/8 headphone to analog left and right for the back of the speakers. It disables the tv speakers and the remote in my case( Toshiba Fire tv) runs the external speaker volume. I also use a Bose 5 sound bar front and center. The sound is amazing.
