Yes they connect to hard drive speaker section usually green input

The Bose Companion 2 Series III should work fine with your Dell given that it at least has an internal soundcard. Here are the steps to connect them: 1. Connect one end of a 1/8-inch male-to-1/8-inch male stereo interconnect cable to the audio output of the computer. The color of the 1/8-inch audio output jack of most computer sound cards is green. It may be labeled "Line OUT" or "Headphone OUT" 2. Connect the other 1/8-inch connector to the audio input jack of the Bose system. Hope this helps! Thanks again, Mohsin-Bose Support
