“Can a subwoofer be connected to series Bose 111 multimedia speakers and how do you connect them? There's an aux input on the back of the right speaker but subwoofer doesn't work thru it. The speakers are working now with an Imac”

No, that is only for sending a signal to the speaker, not sending a signal from the speaker out. That would be considered an "output" jack.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Aux input to to send a signal into the speaker, a base bin/cabinet would need to receive a signal. The Bose Companion III does not have the need for a base module, their low end it typically low enough and no, you can't add one on these speakers.
