• Hello Tobi! I am thrilled to hear that you are interested in our noise-masking sleepbuds! All user control is done within the Bose Sleep app. This includes the selection of soothing sounds, volume control, setting alarms, and managing updates. • Volume is controlled in the Bose Sleep app. There are no songs, just ambient noises, also controlled by the app.

• You change the volume and the sound with the Bose Sleep app. NOTE: there are no songs. They are sound samples. Some are nature sounds; some are more electronic. However, the "tranquility" sound is reminiscent of synthesized strings on a typical spa relaxation track.

• You control everything about these from an app on an iphone or android. Sleep sounds provided is your only choice for listening to, no music, audio books, etc. Only sound and white noise.

• You use the Bose Sleep app to adjust the sound you want to listen to, as well as the volume. These aren't regular earbuds, so you can't stream music. Just soothing sounds to help you sleep better.
