“I am coming out of Astro A50's which were amazing. Historically, I have loved anything Bose has made. Does this headset have clear directional sound/noise orientation like Astro A50 or other of the top sets for gaming? If so, how good in comparison?”

I actually gifted these to my HusBae which I also gifted him the Astro-50. He has sat me down to demontrate me both headsets & I must say the sound on this set is so unreal & unlike any other! He also has not even looked back at his Astro’s since! He definitely chooses the Bose & they are extremely so lightweight & the comfort is like no other @ he has a bigger noggen. So yea I recommend & I definitely don’t think you will be disappointed. His play buddy also has a pair. He does apologize in advance that he may not hear me call him, it blocks out any and all sounds. But I’ve learned to forgive him & let him enjoy his play time. It’a a different world with Bose.

Please try again later.Not sure when using with a console how they work but on PC you have to activate windows surround in order for these to operate like your Asteros, but with the premium sound quality of bose! Right out of the box they are setup to be a stereo headset not surround, hope that helps!
