“When headphones are connected to computer via bluetooth, it cuts out the bluetooth function when the battery amount announcement comes on. Then it won't connect again unless I take out the bluetooth adaptor, turn them off, and start again. Why?”

Legaltype. Never experienced this issue with my headset. You may want to return to the store for a swap. You could also contact Bose.
