Hello, If your volume control on the auxilary has short-circuited and your product is still in it's 1-year warranty provided by Bose, you can either contact Best Buy's customer service (CS) or the Bose CS team and tell them your predicament. They should either replace your wire for free or give you a completely new pair, that is IF they are a respectable company. I've had some doubt with Bose recently, but I haven't heard that many bad things about their CS (I would first approach Best Buy's CS mainly because they are more reputable). Hope I helped :) ~ MXAudio ~
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When you are hard wired, you simply use the volume control of the device that you are connected to. When Bluetooth, then the headset volume is operational.
