- Answer Depends on your definition of hearing protection. Most headphones with noise cancellation can't adapt fast enough for things like gunshots, but I definitely think it would reduce sound for something like a concert.

- Answer The noise canceling feature is hands down unlike ANY OTHER BUD OUT THERE- And I have them all from Beats to Bose to Sony to all of them and the Bose Buds are borderline dangerous if you live in a high traffic area..pfft the odds of you getting hit by a car or some kind of motor vehicle collision go way up because of just how fantastic these things are at canceling outside noise… My only issue is with them is the controls absolutely suck on them.
