“Does this unit have a way to control the volume level coming from the TV such that the level stays the same? Out Samsung K550 does not allow this so when we change change a channel we often get a different volume level and have to adjust accordingly.”

No I usually adjust my tv volume low enough so that the sound doesn’t echo and sound out of sync but still gives a low pitch to blend. My volume level choice on my tv is 12. The sound bar doesn’t show it’s volume number so any level on it sounds good.
