• It should be fine. You just need to connect the audio from the TV directly to the soundbar using the optical wire that comes with soundbar. It works perfectly for me.

• Yes, any audio playing on a TV from any source can be output to play on the Soundbar 700 when the soundbar is connected to the TV via an HDMI or optical cable.

• Depends - we have an older TV without the optic hookup nor do we have the HDMI ARC plug in. So right now we can't - I'm still looking for an adapter to RCA. We did hook up via the cable box.
