Hello, the Bose 900 Soundbar does work with the Subwoofer 500. I actually purchased the subwoofer 500 from bose. I bought it refurbished for $329 i think it cost. The subwoofer 500 is awesome. It is truly amazing. I keep it on 30, 40 out of 100. My son came in and said he can't believe that small subwoofer puts out that much bass. I don't know about the voltage question.

The Bose Bass Module 500 is compatible with: Bose Smart Soundbar 900 Source: Scroll down to Compatibility section. https://www.bose.com/en_us/products/speakers/speaker_accessories/bose-bass-module-500.html#v=bose_bass_module_500_black To use the Soundbar in Europe, you will need to plug into voltage transformer (110v to with 220v) so you don’t fry it.
