• The Bose SoundTouch 30 have much better sound than Bose Home Speaker 500 and now have also airplay 2

• One big difference between the two for me is that the Home Speaker 500 is Apple AirPlay 2 compatible and the Soundtouch 30 is not.

• The Bose Home Speaker 500 is worth the upgrade and extra money to pay because the sound is incredible, can work with bluetooth or Ipod, plus will display the artist and song it's screen. The sound will fill your room with full, rich stereo playback. Highly recommend!!
