• series 1 is not Bluetooth, series 2 is.

• The Bluetooth connection which I personally love. I have hooked my phone and computer up to it on different occasions and it worked great. But if you are not going to play music through it series I you can find a little cheaper.

• Major difference is option to connect using Bluetooth. It can automatically turn on detecting sound signal.
