My husband has hearing problems, has to wear two hearing aids, and the Bose has helped me tremendously in hearing what is on TV - concerning the base - it's excellent, sometimes when I am upstairs and hear the TV, all I hear is the base, have to come downstairs to ask him to turn it down "a little." :) You won't be disappointed in a Bose. We have had a Bose radio for years and have always been satisfied with it. Happy Hearing!!
