You would have to have a very small tv. It is 3.4" deep. It fits nicely in front the tv, unless your IR input is located there, like my tv is so I put the Bose behind the tv and it works great. There is an optional wall mount kit for mounting it above or below your TV.

Most TVs 46" (117cm) and smaller meet these requirements and some 50" (127cm) TVs will fit as well. The maximum weight that can be placed on the Solo 15 TV sound systems is 75 lbs. (34kg), which is twice the weight of a typical 42" (107cm) television.
