Yes, depending 1 of 2 things. Are you into the bass surround feeling for movies and music than a subwoofer is definitely recommended. 2nd thing would be more of the set up of your entertainment center. Some like to have the slim and simple look. The speaker by itself is still a great product. Im happy with my Bose.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's a choice. I didn't, I felt like it had enough bass for me. FYI, my TV is mounted on the wall and the solo is mounted right below the TV. And we sit 10' away from the TV, works to my satisfaction!

For most of our Soundbars, these are capable of playing deep bass without an additional module, although the addition of such a module will enhance the level of bass that you hear. The SoundTouch 300 Soundbar, Soundbar 500 and Soundbar 700 can all be used with optional sub-woofers. The Solo 5 Soundbar listed here does not have an option for an optional bass module, so we would advise looking towards other options if you are interested in this. As always, we would recommend visiting a store and listening to these products to ensure that you are happy with our products before making your final decision!
