“Can I still use my Verizon remote control to control the volume?”

• I’ve been able to connect my Directv and my Samsung remotes to the bar to control the power and volume. For other settings you have to use the Bose remote that comes with the bar. This remote is nice too. I connected this to my Directv Genie and control all the functions. I have set my bar to automatically shutdown after an hour of not using it.
