• Yes, but it's tricky. After some searching I discovered how to do it. Read the "solved" post in green before you try to assign the Bose IR codes to the Directv remote. https://forums.att.com/t5/Remote-Controls/Bose-Solo-DTV-remote-help-please/td-p/4635709

• I am not sure about the direct tv remote working with the Bose remote, but the Bise Remote was incredibly simple to program to work with our Sony Tv, Sony bluray, dish network box, and Xbox. It has all the same functionality as the satellite receiver remote.
