Can solo 5 be used standing on its side null

Better to be mounted under your TV or kept on a shelf.

No the sound bar isn't stable enough to stand on it's side by it's self. I wouldn't put it on it's side due to the speaker is made to filter sound a certain way and when change direction of the intended direction the sound may not sound as well as if laying down as directed
