Yes, the soundbar can be connected with an aux cable.

The Solo 5 does not come with a wireless interface and will only connect to a source using the one of the following three options: Optical digital audio, Coaxial digital audio, and Analog stereo audio. You can also use your dish remote but the Bose remote is very nice just enter the dish code and the Bose remote works the dish it even has a dvr button. One remote works my system. Very convenient hope that helps
