“I am trying to connect my Bose Solo 5 soundbar to my PS4 via optical audio, which will pick up the audio signal, but I'm not sure how to control the volume thru this method. I'm using an Acer 4k monitor in place of a TV. So no remote I think.”

• The remote controls the sound on the bar so that's the only way I know to change volume.

• The sound system comes with a programmable remote that you may be able to incorporate your game system or monitor on that remote. There is a booklet included to look up codes for some products. I was able to add my TV to the remote for the sound system.
