A:Answer The Bose Solo 5 is a stand alone soundbar (pretty much a 2.1 system in a box), you can not connect other speakers to it (like you can with the Bose Soundtouch system). It should connect to your receiver (assuming your receiver has analog, digital optical, or HDMI connection). If your receiver still has a separate output to the bass module, it is possible it might work OK with the bass module connected too. In that case you would have to turn the bass on the Bose Solo 5 way down, otherwise your bass module would be redundant. You should probably make sure it is the speakers that are causing the distortion and not something else (like an issue with your receiver, or some other electronics component near by that is causing interference with the signal to you speakers), before you fork out money for anything.
