• you can charge while you're listening to your speaker so anytime you can listen to it , and as far as the time goes about an hour and 30 minutes tops .

• I charged mine while I was using it and took a good hour or so to charge. You can use it while you are charging it

• Hello Terri. Great questions. The SoundLink Color takes approximately 3 hours from full discharge when using included charger in standby. The SoundLink comes charged about halfway so you should be able to connect to it right out of the box. Thanks!
