I had to go to the echo dot app and release the previous speaker I had connected to it. I would ask the echo to disconnect, but it never did. Once I disconnected with the app, it found the Bose speaker and easily connected.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, Mac. The SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker II can absolutely connect with an Amazon Echo Dot via Bluetooth. We're sorry to hear you're experiencing some difficulty, and we'll be glad to help. Please ensure that you clear your speaker's Bluetooth pairing list first - https://bose.life/2vQQDI3. After this, please add the speaker to your Alexa account using the Alexa app. Your SoundLink Color II should be placed at least 3 feet away from your Echo Dot for the best performance. We have noticed that the speaker connects more easily when you select "LE-SoundLink..." in the Alexa app. If the issue persists, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team at 1-800-367-4008 for further assistance. They are available M-F 9 AM to 9 PM Eastern. Thank you, and have a great day! Best Regards, Jesse - Bose Support
