No, you cannot. There is no USB slot for you to plug a USB drive into the Bose Soundlink Mini II. It pairs with bluetooth or an AUX cable

It makes sense to me that this combination would work, I would try it if I had mp3 files. We have used it with an Ipod, a tablet, and two different cell phones. It will sync with any Bluetooth device.

You must have an external mp3 compatible device, like an smartphone, tablet, or computer. Also, this speaker will only work with a 3.5mm audio jack or Bluetooth.
