NOt sure what you mean by full range. It is plenty loud enough to play for background music. The bass is rich and full. I use it when I'm watching a movie on my tablet and I feel like I have a mini home theater system. It certainly offers richer sound than most portable bluetooth speakers. But if you want sound compared to a big stereo system, then this is not for you. Bose makes bigger speakers with richer sound for party purposes to play over loud noise. This great if you have an mp3 player and want to listen to music while you do stuff around the house and don't want to mess around with headphones. It also has an auxiliary access to connect any mp3 player with a headphone jack. I love it because I use it when I'm housecleaning and don't want to mess around with wires.
