“Would this speaker work in the car with my iPhone and downloaded books”

• Yea wheter its your house, car, camping trip, pool etc.. it will work whereever as long as its connected to a bluetooth device (iphone, ipad, macbook, android phone etc) I took my bose soundlink on vacation and listened to pandora the whole way there :)

• YES! Once connected to your iphone, it will play any sound coming from it. It has a nice rubber grip pad on the bottom as well, so though I have not tried it I think it would sit right on your dash if you wanted.
