Mine has worked very well. I have never gotten to red, but have recharged at yellow multiple times. Hope yours does the same.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not a tech. Have you tried charging it with out using it ? Maybe try turning the device off and back on, or use up the battery until it powers off and then charge the device.

Then put on the charging cradle, making sure everything is connected cleanly (including the little power adapter plug that goes into the side of the charging cradle). Let it charge fully (overnight, ideally). Then see how it is working. I have battery operated power tools that sometimes go through this (frustrating) loop. Sometimes this is all that is needed. These lithium ion batteries occasionally need to go through 'full' recharge cycles to keep them fresh.

Try resetting the SoundLink Mini speaker by turning it on, then holding the Mute button for 10 seconds (a few LED's will flash). If the issue returns, the system would be in need of service. Our technical support team can assist further and can be reached at 1-800-380-4831. Thank you.
