The sound menu on my Samsung TV (4K UHD don't have the model number handy) gives me the ability to connect Bluetooth headphones, but it only mentions Samsung headphones. Will it discover the Bose SoundLink Wireless Around-Ear Headphones II or will I need an adapter? The user manual doesn't provide much help on this and I've seen YouTube videos describing how to access the secret menu on the TV to enable the capability however, it seems to me this step shouldn't be necessary. For what it's worth, the TV will not discover my Bose SoundLink Mini, as I thought it might.”

Yes they connect to Samsung TVs. I have a 55" SUHD Samsung. they pair when you go into "speakers" and click on to Bluetooth
