• Hi, Andrea. Thank you for your question. You can absolutely use one of the SoundSport Free earbuds at a time. As a few other customers mentioned, the right earbud is the "master" that controls the left bud. If you wanted to use the right bud on its own, you could keep the left bud in the charging case. Call audio will come specifically from the right bud. The right earbud would need to be within range of the left at all times. We hope this helps! Have a great day. Jesse - Bose Support

• Yes, you can use only the right bud if you want to use one. The left one does not work by itself.

• Yes, you can use one earbud, if it's the right earbud. The right side allows you to take calls, and acts as the 'primary' one.
