IF your listening to music on one device and want to listen to something on the second device, just pause the music on one and start playing on the other. Phone calls take precedence and will take priority of the headphones.

As you listen to one of them, just hit pause and play the second and the headphones will play the other. Also, if the phone rings while listening to music, they automatically swith to the phone call when answered and then pick up the music when the call is finished.
