It is one of the reasons I purchased them. I can still be aware of what is happening around me and enjoying my music at the same time. Sound quality is outstanding, I think you would be happy.

If you've had the wired version of these headphones, these are no different. I've used them during outdoor runs and at the gym - and as long as you aren't on max volume, you'll have no issues hearing the outside world.

Yes you can hear the sounds around you, unless you have the volume up high. They are not noise cancelling like the QC 20 or 30's.
