The range is 30-40 feet from the device in my experience.

I can say that when they worked, they sounded fantastic. I live in a three story home, and regardless of where my phone was in relationship to my phone, they remained paired always. You can connect them to two devices simultaneously and so I also had them paired with my iPad. When I would go out to run, the earphones would tell me that my iPad was 'lost' when I walked approx 100 feet down the road from my home.
