I also have Bests wireless Studio headphones and they have a great volume. The Bose are controlled by the highest output From your smart phone. I personally think they meet the level of loudness without any sound distortion!

I can say that listening in a quiet environment they can get uncomfortably loud depending on what I listen to and the quality of the recording. Outdoors, they can seem less loud because they are not noise-reducing and you can still hear your surroundings - I prefer this for safety reasons.
