Calls and notifications (if enabled) come through both speakers. I really enjoy my pair of earphones!

In my experience, Bose ear buds are probably the most clear calls I have been able to hear from my end, and have also been given positive feedback from people I've contacted. My father said "I can hear you better then you just using your cellphone." My dad also has difficulty hearing and appreciates quality and clarity of the sound from Bose.
