It only comes with one speaker and if you are in a space of 1100 sq ft, you will honestly not need another speaker. The sound from the speaker works great in a space twice your size.

This speaker is typically recommended for medium to larger sized rooms. For the room size you've described, we're sure you will be impressed with the audio quality of this system. This speaker can also synchronize with other Bose SoundTouch speakers, using your home network. It is certainly possible to expand off of this product if you decide to do so!
