• Hello Cathy, thank you for your question. Since the SoundTrue Ultra in-ear headphones are wired headphones without any Bluetooth functionality, they would need to be connected to your phone in order to make or receive a call through the headphones. Hope this helps! Josselyn - Bose Support

• No. Once you are connected via bluetooth, all you do is answer the call.
