• Sound quality is great for open earbuds but the microphone does not sound great to callers and you have to speak loud enough for the headphones to pick up your voice.

• The sound clarity is really good but what I do find is that you have to talk a bit more loudly so that the other person can hear you.

• The low volume is a well known, and documented problem with Bose headphones. I've owned 4 pairs, and they all have the same problem. Bose will not address the issue, and will always claim its your device's issue. Unless you are in a very quiet spot, you cannot hear the other caller at max volume. Bose does not care to fix the issue.

• I bought these because they didn't have the QuietComfort ultra in black. The sound for music is excellent, but microphone quality is terrible. Unable to use phone unless speaking loudly.
