“Based on the manual I found, it looks like you screw the speakers to this stand. I don't see any screw holes in my speaker bottom though. Are you supposed to make holes?”

Bowers & Wilkins 700 Series bookshelf speakers have threaded holes on the bottom of the speakers that allow you to bolt them to the top of these stands. These are the only speakers that will work with these stands in that manner, right out of the box. For all other speakers, we'd advise using 4 dime sized thin pieces of blu-tac to attach the speakers to the stands.
