Yes it will. I have the I phone 7 plus and it holds it with no problem.

I have the IPhone 6 Plus and it just holds it. If you have a larger phone, I say no.

Yes it will. You will have to put the phone vertical and then you can just turn your phone horizontal while the phone is clipped on, if you want it that way. I have an S8 plus with a cover and fits fine.
