Can you only use whole coffee beans or does this have an option to use ground beans? null

Yes, but you wouldn't put the grounds into the hopper. You first touch the icon of what you want to make with this machine. Pour the coffee grounds into your portofilter, and slide into the left side of the machine and pull the handle down to tamp (squish grounds perfectly). Then just move on to the next step.

You can fill the portafilter with ground coffee insert it in the grinding cradle and tamp lever until dose level is displayed. You can omit the step 1 (grinder).

pre-ground as well.   Just pour in the pre-ground coffee directly into the portafilter then insert it for tamping and youre good to go
