I’ve found that with all air fryers, a light spray of your preferred cooking oil is all that is needed. That is the same with this oven which works great as an air fryer.

Air frying is basically high velocity convection baking, giving you a crisp surface without the oil. You can, if you want, brush the food with oil, but most people who are air frying are trying to avoid the oil (and calories!).

I don't think that air fryers are meant to use oil at all. It is supposed be a healthier way of eating foods.
