Yes, the Breville cutting board has silicone feet on the bottom and can be placed on top of the oven. Should help if you're concerned about radiant heat affecting the cabinetry with extended use. Although, from my experience, the 5" air buffer between the two is sufficient.

It doesn't keep the oven itself from getting hot on the outside, it just buffers the heat from radiating up and possibly burning things above it. I actually haven't noticed my oven getting all that hot on the outside, although I will admit I don't go around touching it. It just doesn't feel like it's heating up the air all that hot around it. I held my hand above the top of the oven when I was cooking something at about 400 degrees (again, I didn't actually touch the surface of the metal; no point in tempting fate), and the heat radiating from it didn't feel hot enough to make me pull away from it. I thought about putting one of my regular bamboo cutting boards on top of it, but when I looked closer at the Breville board, I saw it has little feet on the bottom that keep the wooden surface from touching the oven top, and that might make the difference. Since my boards don't have those little rubber feet, I decided not to try it.
