A:AnswerThe Bamboo Cutting Board we manufacture for this model makes a perfect heat deflector as it is designed to allow it to remain on top of the oven at all times including during extended operation.
A:AnswerThe outside of the oven does get very hot. The handle, not so much. I just place my oven near an opened window so that it will cool off faster.
A:AnswerThis oven is 1800 watts. At 1800 watts, the current required for a 120 V circuit would be 15 amps. Recommended that on a circuit no more than 80% of a circuit should be utilized. So.... 20 amp circuit x 0.8 = 16 amps. You need a circuit with probably 20 amps. Now other things can be used on the circuit but not necessarily all at the same time. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerThere are pans that come with it, but I use other pans all the time. The only one I would consider "special" is the airfry basket, but you can use any pan you like under it to catch drippings. I actually ordered one of those copper air fry pans to use in this. It comes with a basket and drip pan. The pan I use now for drippings is actually the broil pan that came with the oven. No problems with using my other pans or anything flaking off. If it does, I'll just go get another. All pans wear out at some point, I guess. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerYes, when cooking foods that have a lot of moisture in them, the Breville® BOV900 Smart Oven® Air will ventilate steam from around the door which can cause the control LCD screen to fog up.
A:AnswerAll Breville® Smart Ovens® including the BOV900 Smart Oven® Air, do come with a crumb tray included. The baking pan can also be placed on the bottom rack when air frying to prevent drips from coming into contact with the elements.
A:AnswerExtreme care will need to be taken if parchment paper is used in the Breville® BOV900 Smart Oven® Air as it has limited space on the interior and proximity of the paper to the elements can cause issues.
A:AnswerThe 17.2 inch measurement includes the door. The actual cabinet less the handle and knobs projecting outward in the front is about 15 inches. From the front of the foreward leg/foot to the back of the rear leg/foot that actually rest on the counter surface is about 11 3/4 inches.
A:AnswerThe pan supplied with the Smart Oven is 14.7 5 x10.75 x 1.125 inches outside dimensions; 13.0 x 9.0 x 1.0 inches inside dimension.
It also comes with 12.75 inch round pizza pan.
A:AnswerI don’t know of any cookbooks, but before I bought my Oven Air, I watched this video by a vlogger named Nutmeg. In the video, she shows how she air frys a whole slew of vegetables in a short period of time. Her video is one of the reasons I purchased this oven. You can watch it on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/sIInWWVYvSA.
A:AnswerWe do not recommend installing our toaster ovens into cabinetry or mounting as they require 4 inches of clearance on all sides for proper ventilation and as they are not insulated appliances.
A:AnswerYou could spray Pam on the air fryer rack, but I imagine the heat would eventually cause a gummy oil film. We have never needed any kind of release agent with this rack because the grids are small and food releases easily. Most of the foods we air fry already have some oil in them, therefore no extra has been needed.
