“In regards to the crumb tray. Breville does not suggest using foil in the oven. Question is: 1) can you use aluminum foil on the crumb tray? -or- 2) can you use a silicone mat on the crumb tray?”

• This is exactly what I would like for my Breville Crumb Tray. Something disposable. Does Breville or somebody have a product like this?

• I use aluminum foil on the tray and also to cover my food if it's called for. I use the oven just like I'd use my main oven and haven't had a problem. This is the 2nd oven I've had. They last forever and cook as well as the first day.

• The reason for the recommendation of no aluminum foil is that could come in contact with the sides, causing scratches or with the elements which can cause serious damage.
