“Does this unit vent out the front, the back, or the top? I'd like to use it like a built-in microwave and venting out the front would be best. I don't have the recommended 8" above or on the sides.”

• The Breville Combi Wave 3 in 1 is not made for in-cabinet use. It does require a minimum clearance of 8 inches (20cm) between the microwave and any adjacent walls.

• I really wanted to place mine in my built-in slot too, but it does require the air space. Mine is on a counter and has space on both sides and the top. Most of the venting appears to be from the sides. I know it vents from the back too, but I do have it pushed near the back wall. The air can still circulate. (now to figure out what creative thing I can do with my empty black hole. LOL Cookbooks? Dark, cool area for onions and potatoes?)
