• You would remove those when using the oven option. For best results, it is recommended to use the provided Combi Crisp pan except when cooking foods that require a specific baking dish or pan. Place other dishes or pans on the provided trivet for best results.

• I leave them in and use the metal trivet rack, that way you don't need to stir your food during cooking.
