Making toast always dehydrates bread so some moisture will condense on the oven door. In a pop-up toaster moisture simply ventilates through the toaster’s open slots. I wouldn’t describe what I’ve experienced as “dripping wet” or even close to that. If that wasn’t hyperbole then there may be something defective about the oven you bought. I would call Breville’s customer service and discuss the issue. We use ours only for toast, warming and baking small items and really like it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No do not leave the oven door open. Not sure why the door gets wet. Please read the instructions once again. If it continues I would return the product and get a replacement. The product is excellent. It’s the top of the line toaster oven
