• Yes, the Breville® BMO650 Compact Wave™ Microwave does stop it's heating function when the door is opened.

• I just tried; and it appears to shut off when door is opened. At least timer stops and turntable stops rotating.

• Yes, my microwave stops cooking when I open the door. The remaining cook time will still appear on the display, and you have to close the door and hit start again to re-activate the cooking.
